Terms of use

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the team that runs Rigcall (“we”). By creating an account or using Rigcall, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Rigcall.

1. Who can use Rigcall

  • You must be 13 or older.
  • If you're under 18, you may only use Rigcall through an organization (such as your school's media program) that has invited you, and with any permission its rules require.
  • If you use Rigcall for an organization (a company, school or other group), you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account secure: anything done while signed in to your account counts as done by you, including confirming that you received gear. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Organizations

  • Anyone can create an organization. The person who creates it becomes its Admin.
  • Admins and Managers decide who is invited and what role they have. They're responsible for making sure the people they invite are allowed to use Rigcall (for example under their company's or school's rules, including any parental permission).
  • Admins can remove members and delete the organization, which deletes its data.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Rigcall to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone;
  • post links to content you don't have the right to share, or that's illegal, hateful or sexually explicit;
  • collect other people's personal information for any purpose other than your organization's work;
  • try to get into organizations or accounts you haven't been invited to, probe or break our security, or overload the service (security researchers: please report issues to us instead);
  • copy, resell or rebuild Rigcall, or use it to build a competing product.

5. Your content

  • You and your organization keep ownership of what you add (projects, comments, notes, links and records). You give us permission to store, copy and display it only as needed to run Rigcall for you and your organization.
  • Rigcall never stores media files. When you paste a link, the file stays with the service that holds it, under that service's own terms and sharing settings.
  • You're responsible for what you add and for having the right to share it.

6. Reporting content and copyright

To report something on Rigcall that infringes your copyright or breaks these terms, email support@rigcall.app with: what it is and where it appears (for example, the organization and project), why it's a problem, and how to reach you. For copyright, also include a description of your work and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized. We'll review reports promptly, may remove the content or link, and may close accounts that repeatedly infringe.

7. Equipment

Rigcall keeps records of who checked out which equipment, when, and in what condition. It doesn't change who is responsible for lost or damaged gear; that's between you and your organization.

8. Fees

Rigcall is free during its early version. If we introduce paid plans, they'll be bought on our website, with prices and any refund terms shown before you pay, and nobody will be charged without agreeing first.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We're improving Rigcall all the time and may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and ask you to agree again in the app.

10. Ending your use

  • You can stop using Rigcall and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete my account).
  • We may suspend or close an account or organization that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. If we ever shut Rigcall down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data.

11. Disclaimers

Rigcall is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that notifications and reminders will always arrive. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of important files and records.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, equipment or goodwill, arising from your use of Rigcall. Our total liability for any claim about Rigcall is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you added or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live somewhere whose laws give you rights that can't be waived, those rights still apply.

15. Everything else

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Rigcall. Questions: support@rigcall.app.
